If you've ever wanted to know how Troye Sivan and Shawn Mendes—two of pop music's reigning heartthrobs/twinks—feel about being asked by fans to choke them, well then I guess today is your lucky day!

As our friends at Queerty recently pointed out, a dedicated stan recently compiled clips from each popstar's entry in BuzzFeed's "Celebs Read Thirst Tweets" video series, and there's a stark contrast between how Shawn reacts to requests from fans to choke him, and how Troye reacts.

"Do you think if I ask nicely Shawn Mendes would choke me?" one particularly thirsty tweet read.

"The bad thing about this tweet is that I've seen this so many times," the "If I Can't Have You" crooner replied, looking a mix of concerned and confused. "Don't ask anybody to choke you."

"I love Troye Sivan so much, gosh choke me, hit me with a truck" a different tweet to Troye read.

"That one's not that bad," Troye replies cheekily. "Thank you, that's actually very sweet."

Troye himself noticed the tweet, and his differing opinion on choking from Shawn, and had nothing to say other than a simple "LMFAO."

You learn something new about a person every day!

Watch Troye and Shawn's reactions to fans wanting to choke them (and other thirsty things!) in the videos below.

After years of many celebs playing coy or getting offended by questions of what bunk they occupy, some LGBTQ+ actors have decided it's time to stop being polite and start getting real!

Well, it's that time. After years of many celebrities playing coy or outright getting offended by questions of what bunk they occupy, a pair of actors have decided it's time to stop being polite and start getting real! And though it's not as full-throated as Haaz Sleiman's coming out wherein he told the world that he was not only gay but also a total bottom, they were still as honest as they come.

First up was Walking Dead's Daniel Newman. In a tweet earlier this month, Newman told the world that he's "too lazy to bottom," which...fair!

"I'm a TOP," he tweeted to a fan who had made a joke calling him a bottom. "I'm too lazy to bottom! Lol. Maybe if I got married. But I'm also always super attracted to Tops so I guess whoever is strong enough and can pin down the other wins that night."

So vers top? Okay, okay cool. That's...okay, bet. Bisexual, vers top, got it.

Next up was Nico Tortorella, known in part for their role on Younger but who will also appear in a Walking Dead spin-off. On Sunday, the married actor posted a "gay sitting alignment chart" to their Instagram Stories. You know, the kind: since no gays (or queers in general) can sit correctly in a chair as designed, these charts help everyone figure out their position by how they sit. According to this chart, tops sort of sprawl over the chair.

"This is how I was sitting when I read this meme," Tortorella wrote in a screenshot posted to PinkNews. "For the record. (But more here, depends on the day y'all.)" For the latter part of the message, they had underlined a figure with one leg bent and the other extended to the floor. The chart categorized it as how vers guys sit.

Well...nice to know this of the polyamorous, nonbinary performer. In case, you know, we see them on the apps and need to make polite conversation.

College Hockey Player Got 'Bro Hugs' From Teammates After Coming Out

"This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do," Marion University hockey player Brock Weston said in a speech to his teammates.

#Sports#CollegeMen#Guys#Gay#LGBTQ+brock-weston-college-hockey-player-comes-out.jpgDonald Padgett

Brock Weston is not one to back down from a fight on the ice—his front teeth didn’t go missing on their own, after all. But the 25-year-old college hockey player from Marion University in Font du Lac, Wisconsin did shy away from discussing his sexuality with his teammates at time. In 2019 that changed, after he became the subject of gay rumors.

"I was so upset after going out one night that I threw my phone at the wall, punched a hole in my door and was bawling uncontrollably," he wrote in an op-ed for OutSports. "I knew I could not live like that any longer."

As a result, Weston came out privately to his family, his coach, and his roommate. With their support, he was ready to tell his team.

"This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do," he said in a tearful speech to teammates in April of last year—he was an assistant captain for the team for two years. "I don’t know what to expect and I’m scared. I’ll get it out of the way early and tell you all…I’m gay." Weston went on, with a six-point list of what he expected to be frequently asked questions, addressing jokes, how his teammates should address the situation with others, and more.

"I am trusting that we can use this as an opportunity to grow closer and to appreciate the struggles that we don’t see and to know that we truly can leave our shit at the door of the rink and become a family when we walk into the room," he said. "We don’t have to all be best friends outside of the rink, but we also don’t have to talk shit."

In the letter recounting the moment, Brock wrote that he had intended to leave the locker room after delivering his words to allow their coach time to speak with the team alone, but his teammates were having none of that.

"Before I could leave, one of the guys I thought might react negatively spoke up and said, 'Hey Brock. We love you no matter what. I think we all agree and you’re a part of this family and we have your back.'" he wrote. "Everyone then got up and bro-hugged and we had basically a huge team group hug."

Hockey can be a violent sport. There’s a certain level of truth in the old adage about going to see a fight only to have a hockey game break out. That type of violence often breeds homophobic banter that ranges from the off-handed to truly hateful. Young, impressionable players learn to accept and engage in this type of hateful language from coaches, parents, and other players.

"Growing up as hockey players we are exposed to the locker room talk from a very young age, hearing it from our buddy’s crazy dad that says whatever the fuck comes into his head with no regard," Weston recalled telling the team. "We pick it up quickly because we are little sponges. Every guy we’ve ever played against has been a 'loser' or 'fucking fag' or 'a cocksucker.' You get the picture."

And it would appear they did get the picture better than he had expected. Since that fateful day last April, Weston has learned that his teammates have his back off the ice as well as on it.

"People I thought would disown me or become even more cruel were among the first to voice their acceptance," he wrote.

Weston will graduate from Marian University in May with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. He would like to become a physician in sports medicine and is waiting to hear back if he was accepted into medical school. His parents have met his boyfriend of two years, and they all seem to enjoy each other's company. Things are going well for Weston. He understands he’s not fighting alone anymore and has some words of encouragement for other closeted athletes in facing similar circumstances.

"I understand the journey of being an athlete in situations where people may not accept you, but I hope my path can empower anyone who is struggling. I want to reassure anyone reading this that there are people out there who will love you for you."

Disney's 1989 animated film The Little Mermaid is an absolute classic that tells the story of a beloved mermaid named Ariel who just wants to explore the world beyond her bubble—but what if the gender roles in the film were swapped, and instead of being a mermaid princess, Ariel was a prince who also just wanted to explore the surface for himself?

That's what artist and animator Mark Scarnander did in a recent video where he created the male version of Ariel, and seriously, the results are swoon-worthy!

Using a cover of the song by male singer Mike Zubi, Scarnander recreated the film's iconic "Part of Your World" scene in his gender-bent style, and we've seriously been playing it on repeat non-stop. Male Ariel is an absolute, red-headed snacc, and we're not ashamed to admit it!

And can you really blame us for loving him?!? Just LOOK at him!

While most people would find the thought of their parents finding out about their nudes extremely horrific and awkward AF, one lucky Twitter user is sharing the kinda heartwarming encounter he had with his supportive mom after she learned about his OnlyFans account.

In a now-viral post (that had over 206,000+ likes at the time of writing), Christopher (@gayrave0808 on Twitter) shared screenshots of the conversation he recently had with his mother who, after being reportedly tipped off by one of her coworkers, found out he is selling photos on the subscription-based service that is popularly used by many adult actors and sex workers to sell their premium content.

"Christopher Michael...why did Ms. Jamie tell me she saw your nudes on her son's Twitter?" his Mom asks. "Are you seriously posting your nudes for money?"

"I uhhhhhhh may or may not have an OnlyFans?" he replied. "So I may or may not post pictures to promote it."

While the conversation did seem to get off to a rocky start, it (thankfully) took a complete 180 when Christopher's mom reassured him that she didn't care that he was on OnlyFans and that she was supportive of his efforts to "chase the bag."

"You can go ahead and call me if you’d like and try to explain it but I honestly don’t care," she said. "I was just pretending to care because Ms. Jamie was in my office still. Chase the bag boo."

While some people were skeptical of the authenticity of this entire text exchange, Christopher reassured his Twitter followers that it was real, sharing a picture of his 38-year-old mom to try and prove it.

"For everyone saying that this isn’t my mom here’s the photo to shut you up because it is haha," he said. "She’s 38 and looks good for her age so kindly back off."

We love supportive, sex-positive, non-shaming family members!!

Many of us probably have an embarrassing-but-hilarious story about being caught or seen by someone during various stages of undress. Fortunately, the majority of us don't have it play out national television, like what happened recently to ABC News reporter Will Reeve...

During a news segment on Good Morning America earlier today, Will was reporting a story (virtually, from home) about some pharmacies using drones to deliver prescriptions to patients. What many viewers noticed, however, was that Will's webcam was a little too far away, resulting in a wide camera shot where you can see that he's not wearing any pants.

While most people would probably die from embarrassment (I know I sure would!), surprisingly, Will has been a good sport about the whole gaffe.

"I have ARRIVED," Reeve tweeted about the situation. "In the most hilariously mortifying way possible."

"Those are shorts, I promise," he said, responding to someone who was questioning what was going on down below.

"Any sartorial tips from these people who are wearing a belt, trousers, and shoes during their work video calls at home are most welcome," Will later said in a statement where he explained the reason he went pantsless on the air was that he was getting ready and prepped for a post-work workout.

Don't sweat it, Will! It happens to the best of us!

Jim Parsons &'Hollywood' Castmates Talk Ryan Murphy's Gay Reimagining

#TV#Entertainment#RyanMurphy#Netflix#History#Love#GayMen#Guys#Interviewspride-lead-hollywood-netflix.jpgTaylor Henderson

What if a Black woman led a major studio film in the 1940s? What if producers and directors didn't have to hide who they were to be successful in the film industry? What if iconic actor Rock Hudson, who died in the closet in the '80s, was able to openly love who he wanted?

These are just a few of the questions Ryan Murphy asks in Netflix's electric new series, Hollywood. Featuring some of the biggest stars of today (Darren Criss, Patti Lupone, Jim Parsons, Jeremy Pope, Dylan McDermott, Samara Weaving, Laura Harrier, David Corenswet, Jake Picking, and more), Murphy reimagines what Old Hollywood might have been like if people of color, women, and LGBTQ+ people were not only allowed to be themselves, but to lead.

"I think the whole theme and message of our show is this revision of history," Pope tells PRIDE. "What if we had given Black people equal opportunities, women opportunities, equal opportunities. What does that look like, what does that feel like?"

Pope plays Archie Coleman, an aspiring screenwriter who turns to prostitution to survive when the industry repeatedly denies his talents because of the color of his skin. Archie, who is also gay, is "trying to occupy this industry that was definitely not built for him in the 40s." Homophobia and racism still exist in this world and Archie is served a double whammy, but because "he feels like he has a place and a voice and a message he wants to share," he'll do whatever it takes, no matter the cost.

Picking says his portrayal of the real-life closeted actor Rock Hudson was "gratifying," as Murphy's reimagining allowed Hudson to come into his own regarding who he loved and how he loved them. "That's what the tragedy was for Rock in terms of feeling like he had to hide things and being socially ostracized," says Picking. "I believe he was a hero in his own sense."

hollywood-jake-picking-jeremy-pope.jpg

And Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons plays a maniacal, self-serving talent agent named Henry Wilson, a real-life person who abused his power in the '40s much like executives that have been taken down in the current #MeToo movement

Parsons says the role, a major shift from his normal nice-guy characters, was "very freeing" to play. "It was such a reach, it was something so different. Sometimes that can be scary and in this circumstance, it wasn't. I felt in really, really good hands. Ryan [Murphy]'s so good to his actors about giving you all the support you need to feel like this is going to fun as opposed to harrowing."

Through hair, makeup, and costumes, Parsons was even made to look like the real-life Wilson. "I felt transformed every time I left to go on the set. It really made me feel free and very playful. I loved it."

hollywood-netflix-jim-parsons-interview.jpg

Parons summed up the message of the series perfectly.

By reimagining this supposed golden era of film and television as much more inclusive, Hollywood highlights "the powerful effect that bold and brave choices can have, and not just in Hollywood, but anywhere in the world. The way that one brave move by one brave person or a small seam of people can change lives and trajectories of those lives that they never expected to touch, that can change the arc of human history. That will never stop being true. There's always something more to tackle and more to uncover and another human being to free and make seeable and an active part of the world."

Hollywood premieres May 1 on Netflix. Watch the trailer below!

Actor Jim Parsons revealed to Ellen the "shocking" amount of flesh on display in the upcoming Netflix series!

A scene in Netflix's Hollywood made even Jim Parsons blush.

In a Zoom session with The Ellen Show, the gay actor discussed his role of Henry Wilson—a talent agent who discovered Rock Hudson—in the upcoming Ryan Murphy reimagining of Old Hollywood.

The series, in very Murphy fashion, brings queer themes (and actors, in the case of Hudson, played by Jake Picking) out of the closet. And Parsons revealed to DeGeneres another aspect it shines a light on: nudity.

Filming one scene by a swimming pool, in particular, was "really awkward and shocking" to Parsons for the "sheer amount of nakedness on display by the extras," he told the host on a recent episode.

"I’ve gone to a lot of gay clubs in my time, and I’ve never seen that many naked people at once, ever. I don’t think that’s legal in most places," The Big Bang Theory star said. "We were surrounded by so many naked people. I just kept trying not to look, but there really came a point—I mean, it was hours we were doing this—I stopped not trying to look at some points."

"I was just like, you know what? What I really feel is admiration. To have that kind of relationship with your body that you’re able to just walk around naked in front of this huge crew, and all these other actors and everything, in and out of the swimming pool, I was like, 'I am in awe.' That is the healthiest, I think, type of [view]."

Parsons also confirmed that there "wasn’t a bad looking one in the bunch. They worked for that confidence–or they were born with it, I don’t know."

In the spirit of Hollywood, Parsons also gave impromptu Hollywood personas like Clint Eastwood, Marilyn Monroe, Cher, and Oprah on The Ellen Show to raise $10,000 for GLSEN, an organization supporting LGBTQ+ students.

According to Netflix, Hollywood aims to spotlight "the unfair systems and biases across race, gender and sexuality that continue to this day." To DeGeneres, Parsons said the series is a fantasy that asks the question, "What would life be like now had Hollywood done things like this 80 years ago?"

In addition to Parsons and Picking, the cast features Laura Harrier, Jeremy Pope, Dylan McDermott, Holland Taylor, Samara Weaving, Michelle Krusiec, Queen Latifah, and Patti LuPone.

Hollywood premieres May 1 on Netflix!

Writer, producer, and director Ryan Murphy has been known to cast a heartthrob (or two, or three, or four) in his many, award-winning TV series, but for many of us, it can sometimes be hard to keep track of all of them and tell them apart, especially since (to put it bluntly) a lot of them really do look alike.

That's what Twitter user @vintagehols pointed out when they posted a hilarious side-by-side meme of Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson, Finn Wittrock, Max Greenfield, and Wes Bentley, five handsome actors who have all starred in at least one Ryan Murphy production.

"I could not name one of these men if someone put a gun to my head," @vintagehols said in the tweet that has over 204,000+ likes at the time of writing.

Well, being a good sport about the genuinely funny meme, actor Matt Bomer (who won a Golden Globe for his role in Murphy's TV film The Normal Heart, starred in multiple seasons of American Horror Story, and directed an episode of The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story) had some choice words of his own to say in response to people now knowing the difference between him and his other acting peers.

"I love all of these men and their unique talents. But if you’re going to line us up and objectify us every few months like Ryan Murphy’s version of a Hitchcock blonde...then I’ve got dibs on Grace Kelly," Bomer replied.

And to make sure no one thought he was trying to drag @vintagehols in his reply, Bomer clarified that it was all just a joke and that he doesn't want anyone to feel bad.

Bomer's AHS: Freak Show co-star Finn Wittrock, who was also a part of the original look-alike meme, also joined in on the fun, saying he wants to be the Janet Leigh to Matt's Grace Kelly.

Kudos to Matt and Finn for not taking themselves, or a shady meme, too seriously! We love a good sport!

The devil works hard, but Ryan Murphy definitely works much harder

While we're still fresh off of the release of his latest, gay AF Netflix series Hollywood, it looks the Emmy-winning writer, director, and producer already has yet another TV project in the works, this time starring two of his American Horror Story faves: the always dreamyDylan McDermott and comedic icon Leslie Jordan.

"So yes it's TRUE I am writing a project for national treasures Leslie Jordan and Dylan McDermott to star in together," Murphy said, breaking the news of the show on his Instagram account. "Should it be a romance? A buddy comedy? A heist movie? All I know is Leslie is going to be fabulously wealthy in it, and Dylan will have a backstory as a former masseur."

And just like that, we're already hooked. We need a Dylan McDermott & Leslie Jordan series in our lives ASAP!!!

While we're still not sure what to expect or when to expect it, we do know that if McDermott and Jordan's series doesn't feature a reference or recreation of this iconic, meme-worthy moment, we don't want it.
